APPRENTICE READINESS CERTIFICATE: 40 HOUR
The Ecotone ‘Resilient Toolbox Training’ Series
ARC Training
ARC 40
The Ecotone apprentice program has evolved into two parts; the first part is the apprentice readiness certificate program (ARC 40) at our shop in Brooklyn. The apprentice readiness training is an opportunity for young people to come from anywhere with any level of experience who seek introductory skilled trade training. We focus our lessons on the hard and soft skills required for a career in the design or building trades. Trainees have to show up on time, work hard, learn and follow safe work practices, gain command over essential hand tools and construction techniques.
The purpose of this training is to level young people up to a place where they are ready for a formal apprenticeship in a real-world work environment in the design and building industries in NYC. Apprentices gain a certificate that demonstrates 40 hours of hands-on, in-person instruction, working with tools, and understanding safe participation in the building trades. Completing the ARC40 also unlocks access to the next phase of Ecotone Apprenticeship Placement for the certificate recipient.
