Mike was a small-time hobbyist longing to make something bigger out of himself. Marrying into a family with labor union members, he had an opportunity to join the union. Still, he could not find the training opportunity he needed to develop as a carpenter, so he could not enter. Fortunately, through Ecotone’s network of trade professionals in NYC, Mike learned of a chance to take an apprentice placement with Ecotone. Ecotone took Mike in, showed him the ropes, familiarized him with the culture, and ensured he would be a dependable tradesman. Not only does Lisi now have the chops to compete, but safety is at the forefront of his mind at all times. Thanks to Ecotone’s apprentice program, he is now a member of local 45 and as proud a carpenter as you could find.
